#NoVatOnEducation

Students of private universities today held rallies on the streets of Dhaka with slogans and placards protesting the 7.5 percent VAT imposed on tuition fees. Netigens were not far behind, showing solidarity to those in the streets.

Online activism proved its strength, where students who couldn’t be on the streets showed their support online, through the social platforms.

The youth once again proved that their voices will not be silenced nor will their demands be ignored.

I do 3 jobs and work 80 hours a week to try and pay for my living and education.I refuse to accept 7.5% tax on education where every penny matters in my life.#NoVATOnEducation
