Online income tax return filings increased over 250% in FY 2024-25

Bangladesh has witnessed a rise in online income tax return submissions, with the number of e-returns increasing by more than 250% in the 2024-25 fiscal year, during the penalty-free period for filing income tax returns.

No documents needed to file e-return

To ease online tax return submissions, taxpayers will not be required to submit any documents or soft copies when filing an e-return, according to the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
