Suspected Covid-19 patient flees from isolation unit of Jashore hospital
A suspected Covid-19 patient who was undergoing treatment with coronavirus-like symptoms at the isolation unit of Jashore General Hospital, reportedly fled from the hospital last night, reports our Benapole correspondent.
The male patient, hailing from City College Para in Jashore town, was admitted to the emergency department of the hospital on June 18 with different symptoms of coronavirus infection, including fever and throat pain, said Arif Ahmed, resident medical officer (RMO) of the hospital.
The on-duty doctor admitted the patient to the hospital's isolation unit, the RMO said.
Last night, the on-duty nurse at the isolation unit went to give medicine to the patient but did not find him there, Arif Ahmed said, adding that they are looking into the matter.
