Born on May 7, 1931, Siddiqua Kabir is a household name. It would be difficult to find anyone in Bangladesh who loves cooking and eating but has never heard of Siddiqua Kabir or her popular cookbook "Ranna Khaddo Pushti." Moreover, she popularised Bengali cooking amongst the younger generation with her very famous show on Ntv – Siddiqua Kabir's Recipe, which ran from 2003 - 2012. 

Fans and admirers were heartbroken when Siddiqua passed away due to old age complications on January 31, 2012. She is still remembered with love and lots of affection. On the occasion of her 85th birth anniversary, the Star Weekend looks into the secrets of her kitchen and offers some snippets from the inspirational life that she lived.
