1 Minute Please!

This week's artist does not require any introduction. She was born in a family of music melody. Born to singer parents, "I believe music was inherent to me from my childhood," believes Fahmida Nabi.  Fahmida's solo career started back in 1979 and since then she has released a number of solo and duet albums. She also sings Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Sangeet and works as a voice grooming facilitator in her institution. We can go on and on about Fahmida's many talents but let's just say that she loves to experiment with her creative abilities and her music has earned a dedicated fan base all over the country.

If You Could Change One Thing about the Music Scene of Bangladesh
I would put an end to our practice of using auto-tune in the first place. And secondly, I would bring back the old music arranging process like we used to have before in presence of everyone-starting from the lyricist, music directors to singers. When you have the right team work, that's when good music is made.

Besides Music
When I don't sing, I listen to music. Also I am into interior decoration. Other than these two, I love spending time in the nursery with plants.

Qualities an Artist Should Possess
A person with musical talents should have the right attitude (for me it means being soft spoken and modest). Patience is a must and being a good person is very important.
