Lalmonirhat farmer runs school for special children
Abdur Rashid, a marginal farmer in Lalmonirhat, is revered and respected by the people in his locality for a completely different role he has been playing.
For the last nine years in the remote village of Dakkhin Dalgram Parshurampara in the district, Rashid has been running a school for children with special needs.

The 60-year-old set up the school in 2011, which is now bustling with 110 children studying there.
