Tigers to bat first against Netherlands
Netherlands captain Scott Edwards won the toss and sent Bangladesh in to bat first as the Tigers begin their T20 World Cup campaign today by taking on Netherlands on a chilly afternoon at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
Shakib Al Hasan and Co will be eager to clinch their first win in the main round of the T20 World Cup since 2007, but it won't be an easy task against an upbeat Netherlands side, who managed to qualify for the Super 12 stage following some hard-fought wins in the first round.
Bangladesh have named a batting-heavy eleven, with eight specialist batters, while the bowling department will be led by three pacers -- including Mustafizur Rahman, who makes a return to the team -- and skipper Shakib.
Meanwhile, the Dutch side are playing an unchanged side from the one that featured against Sri Lanka in their third and final game of Round 1.
