The qualification rounds of 10 events were held on the opening day of the Teer 3rd National Youth Archery Championship at the Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium in Tongi yesterday.
In the boys’ junior (U-20) recurve event, Tamimul Islam of BKSP finished first with a score of 664 points out of 720. In the girls’ junior (U-20) recurve event, Dhaka Army Archery Club’s Mehnaz Akter qualified as the top archer with a score of 627 points.
In the boys’ junior (U-20) compound event, Himu Bachar of BKSP became first with a score of 693 points while Pushpita Zaman of the same institution finished first in girls’ junior (U-20) compound event, scoring 680 points.
The final round of all the events will be held today.
