Hughes's bat to be on top of Everest
In an attempt to pay homage to Phillip Hughes, the Cricket Association of Nepal has said that a cricket bat and a shirt used by the late Australia batsman will be taken to the top of Mount Everest.
Hughes passed away in November after being struck in the neck by a bouncer during a Sheffield Shield match at Sydney Cricket Ground.
Mountaineer Churim Sherpa, who holds the record of climbing Everest twice in a single season, has been entrusted with the responsibility of carrying the bat.
