BFF to seek financial help from sports ministry
The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) yesterday decided to seek further financial assistance from the Ministry of Youth and Sports in order to facilitate the women's football team's international engagements in the coming days.
"We have discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the women's football team's tours abroad and will soon make a budget for those tours after taking account of the funds from FIFA, AFC and sponsors. We will seek financial help from the youth and sports ministry if needed, so that we don't face obstacles," BFF vice-president Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan Manik told reporters after an emergency meeting of the BFF executive committee.
Manik informed that the women's teams had five international engagements -- AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers round-1 and round-2 and three FIFA windows in July, October and December. He informed the BFF wanted the national women's team to play home and away matches in each of the three FIFA windows.
