Herath appointed spin coach for two years

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Sri Lankan spin legend Rangana Herath as spin bowling coach of the national team on Wednesday. 

An official media release from BCB said that Herath agreed on a two-year term, which will end in November, 2023. Earlier, the Sri Lankan was Bangladesh's spin bowling consultant for the away series against Zimbabwe this year followed by the home series against Australia and New Zealand and the ICC Twenty20 World Cup.

Following the end of the Test series against Pakistan, the Bangladesh team will leave for New Zealand in the early hours of Thursday for a two-match Test series, scheduled to start on January 1. Herath will join the Bangladesh team in New Zealand.
