‘Can't wait to return to my golf game’
Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev, who underwent successful cardiac surgery at a hospital in Delhi on Friday after complaining of chest pain , is now recovering and thinking about returning to the golf course soon.
The 61-year-old led India to their first World Cup title in 1983. And there is a WhatsApp group of the 1983 World Cup-winning India team where his former teammates wished Kapil a speedy recovery. Replying to that, Kapil mentioned that he is apparently in great shape and can't wait to get back to his 'golf game'.
"Hi everyone. I'm in good spirits and doing well. On the way to a speedy recovery. Can't wait to return to my golf game. You guys are my family. Thank you," Kapil replied to the wishes of his former India teammates.
A member of the World Cup-winning squad said: "The man with the mighty heart, Kapil, has recovered very fast. True to his character he had turned the tough times upside down."

The news of his surgery triggered a flurry of comments on social media from cricketers and fans, with Virat Kohli wishing the once-feared all-rounder a speedy recovery.
Kapil also thanked fans and others for their support through a post on social media.
