Mashrafe ends Facebook exile

Bangladesh's limited-overs captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has reactivated his Facebook page, saying he couldn't stay away from the fans.

"I couldn't resist reactivating the page after seeing the support from you guys," he wrote.

Mashrafe had shut down his account in the wake of some lewd comments made on a photo shared by his teammate Nasir Hossain on the social media website. Mashrafe said it was a way to protest what had happened, but now his vigil appears to be over.

"I wanted to keep the page off after seeing some of the recent incidents, but the love from you fans didn't let that happen. Yes, it's because of your love we have come this far. Hopefully you all won't write anything negative in anyone's posts. Thanks for being by my side," wrote Mashrafe on the page as fans poured in with greetings and well-wishes.
