Love at first ride
Love is a strange thing, striking at random and leaving quite the mark. Who/what, how and why the cupid strikes is impossible to trace, but that's how love works. To solve a little of the mystery surrounding the love we have for all things on wheels, we asked our Facebook fans for the details on what car made them fall in love, and why. Here's what we got.

Alvee Shehtaz My Grandfather gave me a toy scale model of a Audi Quattro S1. That was my first interaction with automobile and I have been in love ever since. Sometimes it still makes me wonder even back in 1997 how cool my Grandfather was. He's no more. But he gave me an obsession that I will pass on to my children someday.
Zarif Chowdhury The majestic AE86! Saw it in Initial D. Won my heart with its finesse, broke it when the engine ceased. Nissan Silvia S15 also has a place, but my one true love was my '90 Toyota Starlet.
Oyshy Enayet These (posters) have been on my room's walls since I was 4, amazing how for most of us the F40 was the car that started it. Great minds think alike. Also, the obvious JDM ones, but the posters are what made me fall in love with the Japanese miracles and not some riced Fast and Furious movie.

Nayeem Islam A distant family member of mine gifted me and my brother an R/C Lamborghini Countach. It was a beauty like the original one and that was my first. Then I grew up playing NFS, watching the FnF franchise and I loved doing anything that related to automobiles. #ForeverAPetrolhead.

Navid Nooren Need for Speed 2 and a calendar with gorgeous rally cars (I remember a toxic green-blue Subaru and a silver Lancer speeding across muddy roads). Love at first sight.
Musharrat Chowdhury F40 scale model my dad brought for me. The doors and engine bay opened, and the steering worked! I was mesmerized. Fell in love with cars, especially Ferraris. The F40 is my number one bucket list car till date.
Imtiaz Amin Chowdhury Shahi We had a red Toyota KE70. I loved that car more than anything. There was also the effect of Hot Wheels and playing NFS. Later on, my love for cars encouraged me to study about them and now I'm a car enthusiast!
