Road crashes kill six
Six people, including two children, were killed and 10 others injured in separate road accidents in the capital yesterday.
Our staff correspondent reports, three people, including two children, were killed and two others injured as a bus hit a rickshaw carrying them at Rustumpur in the capital's Mirpur Beribandh area yesterday morning.
The dead were Rafiqul Islam, 31, his son Yasin, 9, and Ripon, 8. Ripon's father Saidul Islam and the rickshaw puller are undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Our Gazipur correspondent reports, a youth was killed and his friend injured when a bus hit their motorbike on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Gazipur Sadar upazila yesterday.

Our Jhalakathi correspondent reports, a man was killed and two others were injured when a bus hit the motorbike they were on at Brac intersection on Barisal-Khulna highway in Rajapur yesterday.
The deceased was Kamal Hossen, 35, of Kathalia. The injured were sent to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
Our Rangpur correspondent adds, Nurul Islam, 32, of Dulhapur village, was killed as a bus rammed his bicycle on Rangpur-Dhaka highway at the village in Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur yesterday.
Our Chittagong correspondent adds, a person was killed and six others were injured while a truck overturned on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Mirsarai upazila yesterday.
The deceased, Md Sohel, 32, of Narayanganj, used to install tube-wells. The other injured workers took first-aid.
