Road crashes kill 9

Nine people were killed and 21 others injured in separate road accidents across the country yesterday and Thursday.
Our staff correspondent reports, two unidentified men died yesterday after being hit by different cars in the capital.
One of them, aged around 45, was hit before Baitul Mukarram gate while the other, aged around 25, was hit before Jatrabari intersection.
A Satkhira correspondent reports, Mahbubur Rahman, 11, son of Rejaul Islam, was killed when a sand-laden power tiller hit his bicycle from behind at Natupur in Kolaroa upazila yesterday morning.
Our Chapainawabganj correspondent adds, Nahid, 10, son of Md Milon, died when a tractor ran him over at Chouka in Monakasha of Shibganj upazila yesterday.
Our Bogra correspondent adds, Asha Mony, 5, daughter of Ashadul Islam, died after a truck ran her over at Dighol Kandi in Sariakandi upazila yesterday.
Meanwhile in Sadar upazila, Sanowar Hossain, 32, of Sadar upazila, died as a truck rammed his motorcycle near Nirala Pump at Silimpur in Bogra town.
Our Savar correspondent reports,  a truck driver was killed while 20 bus passengers were injured when the bus of SP Super Line hit the truck and both the vehicle fell into a roadside ditch near Prantik gate of Jahangirnagar University in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital, on Thursday night.
The deceased was Md Afzal Miah, son of Ashraf Miah. The injured were admitted to Enam Medical College Hospital.
Our Mymensingh correspondent adds, Jhuma Akhtar, 13, daughter of Badsha Miah of Kishoreganj, died after a bus ran her over at Shaheeb Kachari on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj road in Sadar upazila early yesterday.
On Thursday afternoon, Salim Bepari, 33, of Munshiganj district, was killed while Muklesur Rahman injured when their motorbike crashed into the rear of a truck in Bharaduba Bus Stand area in Bhaluka upazila.
