Road accidents kill 6
Six people died and five others were injured in road accidents in the country yesterday and Tuesday.
Our Sirajganj correspondent reports, three people were killed and three others injured when a truck hit a stranded bus which hit a police-van parked before it on Dhaka-Sirajganj highway at Kodda intersection in Sirajganj Sadar yesterday.
The deceased were Abdul Based, 35, a police constable of Sirajganj Police line, van driver Mofizur Rahman, and bus driver Zahid Hasan, 45.
Our Jhenidah correspondent reports, two people died and another was injured when a truck hit a pick-up van from behind at Ahasannagor bus stand in Shailkupa upazila.
One of the deceased was Sahab Ali, 55, of Borda village.
Our Jamalpur correspondent adds Samej Mondol, 70, of Agpoyla village died when a motorcycle hit him on Melandah-Mahmudpur road at bypass intersection in Melandah upazila on Tuesday. The motorcyclist was injured in the accident.
