Quader asks BRTC to run bus amid blockade
Communications Minister Obaidul Quader today asked BRTC staff to continue bus services on all routes across the county defying the opposition's ongoing countrywide blockade.
The law enforcing agencies will ensure security for them, the minister said after emerging from a meeting with transport owners and workers at Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) office in Tejgaon area of the capital.
Quader told reporters that he asked the BRTC staff to start the bus services from that moment.
Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan and high officials of law enforcing agencies were present during the hour-long meeting that began at 11:00am.
