Obituary

Jahanara Begum, mother of Geeteara Safiya Choudhury, former adviser to a caretaker government and chairman of Adcomm Ltd, died of old age complications in the capital's Birdem hospital yesterday, aged 92.
She left behind her three sons and two daughters, said a press release.
Her namaz-e-janaza will be held at Mirpur's Shah Ali Mazar mosque after Juma prayers today.
