Abducted boy yet to be traced after 10 days

Police could not trace the whereabouts of a boy till yesterday, even 10 days after the three-year-old was abducted in Chattogram city's EPZ area.

On January 25, Md Hridoy was abducted while he was playing with his sister in front of their house in the area, said police.

At that time, his day labourer father Robiul Awal, 28, and garment worker mother were at their respective workplaces.

The victim's father filed a case with EPZ Police Station accusing two women on January 26.

According to the case statement, an unidentified woman lured the boy's sister and gave her Tk 20 to buy some chocolates.

When she went to a shop to buy some candy, the woman abducted the boy, it added.

Sub-inspector Rana Pratap, also the investigation officer of the case, said, "As per a CCTV footage, two women first took away the boy and boarded a rickshaw. On the way, a youth joined them and left the area."

"We are continuing our search for the boy," he added.
