‘I never gave up on being Superman’: Henry Cavill

On October 24, Henry Cavill confirmed on a social media post that he is returning as Superman, following his cameo at the end of "Black Adam." The actor wrote to his fans, "I wanted to make it official: I am back as Superman…Thank you for your support and thank you for your patience. I promise it will be rewarded." Soon after, the actor spoke about his upcoming return during the recording of a show.
"I never gave up hope, this character means a lot for me" Cavill told the audience. "It's amazing to be here now, talking about it again." He further said that the character has a 'bright' future ahead of it.
Cavill got asked for hi "Black Adam" appearance when he was filming "The Witcher." When he took a break from filming that, he could not even say why, since the information was kept top secret.
"It was a very powerful moment for me. I wasn't sure how I would feel…whether it would be something very emotionally connective because I put the 'Man of Steel' suit back on", said Cavill.
The actor further said that he had waited half a decade to be in the suit again, and to play one of his most iconic roles – as Superman.
When asked about where the new Superman movie was in terms of pre-production/filming, the actor smiled, "You know I can't tell you that."
Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson said that he was 'adamant' about making a film where Black Adam and Superman face off. The credit scenes of "Black Adam" already proves that it is in the works.
