2 Boeing 737-800 added to US-Bangla fleet

US-Bangla Airlines has added two Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet.

The two aircraft landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from Jordan yesterday.

Capt Lutfor Rahman, director of Business Development of US-Bangla Airlines, officially received the new additions, said a press release today.

The airline will start operating flights on Colombo, Sharjah, and Delhi routes with these aircraft.

With the new additions, US-Bangla now has 16 aircraft, the highest among the private airlines in the country.

Each of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft has 189 economy class seats.

US-Bangla Airlines plans to add Airbus 330-200/300 aircraft to operate flights from Dhaka to Jeddah, Riyadh and Medina in June next year.

US-Bangla operates flights on all domestic and international routes including regular flights to Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Guangzhou.

Senior officials from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and US-Bangla were present during the receiving programme at the airport.
