Jubo League leader shot dead in Laxmipur
Kabir Hossain, 38, was president of ward no-6 in Dighali union of the Jubo League, youth wing of the ruling Awami League, said Iqbal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
The police official said Kabir came under the attack around 3:30am while he along with others were pasting posters of the ruling party-backed chairman candidate.

Awami League-backed chairman candidate AKM Salahuddin Tipu alleged that the BNP men gun downed Kabir while pasting his posters nearby a polling centre at his village.
Meanwhile, Harunur Rashid, organising secretary of Laxmipur district BNP, said Kabir was killed in a factional clash of the ruling party.
The body was sent to Laxmipur General Hospital for autopsy.
