Alif Alauddin and Kazi Faisal Ahmed etch their name in Guinness World Records

Renowned singer Alif Alauddin and Artcell's lead guitarist Kazi Faisal Ahmed entered the Guinness Book of World Records title for the "Most videos in a music medley video" for their participation in this year's Rockin'1000 Global Gig. This year's concert was held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
2500 musicians from 80 countries around the world participated in this initiative. The medley features 4 evergreen numbers -- "We Will Rock You" by Queen, the rock version of "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, "You Get What You Give" by New Radicals, and "Rockin' All Over the World" by Status Quo.
"We had applied for this initiative online by giving our profiles and also had to audition before our selection," shares Alif Alauddin. "We recorded all four songs, and it went on to create new history for Bangladeshi music."
The video features the duo, with Alif Alauddin's displaying mesmerising and powerful voice while Kazi Faisal Ahmed shows off his mastery of the six strings.
"Alif had applied on behalf of me in 2017, but I was unable to visit Italy at that time as visas were an issue after the Holey Artisan tragedy," says the guitarist. "This year, I was finally able to participate with her. Being the first ones from our country, I am glad we were able to write our nation's name through ours and also make a new record."
