Children's art competition held

Marking the 48th Victory Day celebrations, a painting competition for children was held on the premises of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Sangrahashala (art gallery) yesterday.

The art gallery organised the competition.

Around 94 children from different primary and high schools took part in the competition in five groups -- Ka, Kha, Ga, Gha, and Uma.

The subjects of the competition were “Open choice,” “Victory celebration,” “Historic 7th March speech” and “Bangabandhur Sonar Bangla.”

The “Open choice” was arranged for differently-abled children.

Of the participants, 15 will be selected for prizes while all of them will be given certificates, art gallery sources said.

Selina Begum of the art gallery was present at the inaugural session of the competition, among others.
