Primeasia, BBF hold youth summit
With the purpose of engaging the youth in attaining sustainable development goals (SDGs) through innovation and tourism, an international youth summit was held in the capital yesterday.
Young delegates from over seven countries including Norway, Australia and UAE participated in the daylong summit, says a press release. The Daily Star was a media partner of the event.
Primeasia University and Better Bangladesh Foundation (BBF) jointly organised the summit titled “Youth in innovation to achieve SDG and youth in tourism to achieve SDG” at the conference centre of the university on its Banani campus.
Speaking as the chief guest, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said youths can contribute in the SDG by involving themselves in innovation and entrepreneurship.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak was the guest of honour, while Primeasia University VC Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury presided over the programme and BBF founder and Chairman Masud A Khan moderated the session.
Norwegian Ambassador Sidsel Bleken and Deputy Head of Mission at Australian High Commission Penny Morton were also present.
