Three including college student killed in road accidents
Three people were killed in road accidents in three districts during the last two days, according to reports from our correspondents.
In Panchagarh, the driver of a tractor was killed after the vehicle had plunged into a ditch beside Panchagarh-Banglabandha highway in Tentulia upazila yesterday.
The accident happened 4:00pm near a filling station at Boyalmari village as Billal Hossain, 25, lost control over the vehicle, said police.
Locals rushed him to Tentulia Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared him dead.
Billal Hossain, son of Kabul Hossain, was from Dakbodli Majhipara village in the upazila.
In Thakurgaon, a college student was killed as a truck hit his motorbike on Thakurgaon-Baliadangi road at Mathurapur village in Sadar upazila on Friday evening.
Nishat Rahman, 20, a student of Thakurgaon Road College and son of Sajedur Rahman Dulal, died on the spot, said police.
In Jhenidah, a truck hit a man, aged around 52, in Sadar upazila yesterday morning, leaving him dead.
The man, whose identity could not be known immediately, was crossing a road at Hatgopalpur Bazar, said police.
The body was sent to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
