Eden college student’s hanging body found

The hanging body of a student of Eden Women's College was found in the college’s dormitory this morning.

On information, police recovered the body of Jannatul Ferdous, 22, an honours third-year student of the chemistry department, from the reading room of the newly-built residential hall of the college around 10:00 am.

The body was hanging from the ceiling fan, Sub-inspector (SI) of Lalbagh Police Station Kamaluddin, told The Daily Star.

The body has been taken to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital for autopsy, the SI also said.
