Death threat to journo in Rajshahi

An unidentified miscreant yesterday threatened Shibli Noman, Rajshahi bureau chief of the Bangla daily Samakal, with death for organising a festival commemorating the Liberation War.
A man called Noman over cellphone at noon and threatened that he and others would be beheaded like blogger Ahmed Rajib Haidar if they continue organising the festival, Muktijuddho Utsab, for March.
The caller also warned him not to write anything against the war crime suspects.
Samakal and Liberation War Museum are jointly organising the festival in Rajshahi.
Noman filed a general diary with Boalia Police Station in this regard.
