Road crashes kill 6
Six people were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in the country on Wednesday and yesterday.
Staff Correspondent reports, a pedestrian was killed as a speedy motorbike hit him at Begum Rokeya Sharanee in the capital's Taltola yesterday afternoon.
The victim is Shafiqul Islam Gedu, 45.
Our Chuadanga correspondent adds, a man was killed as a human hauler, Karimon, hit him on Chuadanga-Alamdangar road near Primary Training Institute at Boalmari in Chudanga Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased is Thandu Mondol, 67, of the upazila.
A case was filed with Chuadanga Police Station.
Our Tangail correspondent adds, two unidentified man died after falling from the roof of a running bus at the east end of Bangabandhu Bridge in Ibrahimabad area of Tangail early yesterday.
After the accident, police seized the passenger bus.
Our Sylhet correspondent reports, a sepoy of BGB camp in Feni was killed as an oncoming tractor rammed his motorbike at Nalmukh bazar in Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj yesterday.
Ilias Mia Rupon, 22, hailed from the upazila.
Our Bogra correspondent adds, a man was killed and three others were injured when a three-wheeler carrying them veered out of control and fell into a roadside pothole near Ghoga Bridge in Sherpur upazila early yesterday.
The deceased is Mohammad Ali, 45, a chilli trader of Shajahanpur upazila.
The injured are Ali's business partners Shahadat Hosssian and Hafizar Rahman, and the driver Abdul Wahab.
