One killed in Narsingdi AL-BNP clash
A man was killed and five were injured in a clash between the activists of Awami League and BNP at Palash upazila in Narsingdi this evening.
The clash ensued around 8:30pm near Ghorashal cinema hall when the political rivals got into the clash with sharp weapons, leaving Anwar Hossain Anu dead on the spot, Mamunur Rashid Mondal, officer-in-charge of Palash Police Station, told The Daily Star.
The injured were admitted to Palash upazila health complex, reports our Narsingdi correspondent.
The clash ensued over enforcing the rail, road and waterways blockade of the BNP-led 18-party opposition alliance.
