BU admission tests rescheduled

The admission tests of Barisal University which were to be held today have been rescheduled for December 7.
The tests have been rescheduled due to the opposition alliance's blockade programme.
According to the revised schedule, the hour-long admission tests for “Gha” unit will be held at 10:00am, “Ga” unit at 1:00pm and “Ka” and “Kha” units at 4:00pm.

Transport strike in Sylhet for Sunday

Sylhet Zila Sarak Paribahan Samity and Zila Sarak Paribahan Sramik Union yesterday called a daylong strike in the district for Sunday demanding that the human haulers having no BRTA permission stop running.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the sramik union President Selim Ahmed at the Sylhet Central Bus Terminal.
The samity President Zamir Uddin was present as chief guest.
During the strike, buses, trucks and auto-rickshaws would not run, they said.
DU “Ka” unit admission test results published
Unb, Dhaka
The results of the admission test under “Ka” unit of Dhaka University (DU) for the academic session 2013-14 was published yesterday.
Some 23,374 candidates came out successful out of 59,253 candidates who sat for the test against 1,618 seats this year, official sources said.
The pass rate in the admission test, held on November 22, is 39.44 percent.
