Family demands justice for slain Jubo League leader

Family members and locals yesterday demanded immediate arrest of the killers of Jubo League leader Azad Sheikh who was shot and hacked to death on July 31.

He was a member of Mymensingh Jubo League convening committee.

During a rally, his family members said a case was filed with Kotwali Police Station on August 2 but it is yet to be recorded in the register. They urged police to immediately arrest the killers.

Contacted, Mahmudul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said police were verifying the allegations.
