None can sever Indo-Bangla ties

No evil force will be able to destroy Bangladesh-India relations, speakers said at a programme in Rajshahi yesterday.

They said communal and anti-liberation forces always tried to ruin the bilateral relations but have never succeeded.

Speakers from both countries said this while addressing a civic reception at the 5th Bangladesh-India Cultural Meet held at Green Plaza of Rajshahi Nagar Bhaban.

Agriculture Minister Muhammad Abdur Razzaque was present as chief guest.

Friends of Bangladesh organised the three-day event, with assistance from Rajshahi City Corporation, attended by politicians, educationists, professionals, bureaucrats and journalists.

Among others, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Muhammad Shahriar Alam, Indian High Commissioner Vikram K Doraiswami and Rajshahi Mayor Khairuzzaman Liton spoke at the event.
