Police today arrested a Rohingya man who fled from the refugee camps in Ukhia, from Barabazar area of Jashore.

The arrestee was identified as Sadeq Ali, 22, who is registered as a resident of the Jamtali 15 (D) camp in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar.

Tajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Jashore's Kotwali Police Station, said police went to the spot on a tip-off that a Rohingya was spotted at HMM road in Barabazar area of the city.

Police have arrested him and kept him at the police station. He will be sent to Ukhia Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar under police guard at any time, the OC said.
