Rain likely at places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Mymensingh

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thunder showers at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Mymensingh divisions in 24 hours commencing 9:00am today.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, according to BMD's morning weather bulletin.
There could be light to moderate rain in the four divisions during the 24 hours period , said BMD Meteorologist Md Tariful Newaz Kabir.
Southwesterly wind now brings some moisture to the surface which could cause light to moderate rainfall, he told this newspaper over the phone.
He said slight rainfall in the country in February is normal.
However, rainfall tendency has started earlier this year.
Already, parts of the country have experienced rainfall while temperature also increased over the past few days, he added.
The BMD bulletin said light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to early morning tomorrow.
During the period, night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
BMD recorded the country's lowest minimum temperature today at 13.4 degrees Celsius in Panchagarh's Tetulia and yesterday's highest maximum temperature at 33 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda.
Besides, Dhaka's minimum temperature this morning was 20.8 degrees Celsius and yesterday's maximum temperature was 31.2 degrees Celsius.
