Mustafa Kamal Uddin new Biman chairman
The government has reconstituted the board of directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, making Mustafa Kamal Uddin, a former senior secretary of the home ministry, the new chairman.
However, all the other members of the board of directors remained unchanged.
Civil Aviation Ministry today announced the names of the Biman board through a circular.
Mustafa became the secretary of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on August 25, 2017. He retired from the service on January 12.
Earlier, Sajjadul Hassan served as the chairman of the national flag carrier. He was a former senior secretary of the Prime Minister's Office.
The directors of the board are chairman of the National Board of Revenue, senior secretary of the Finance Department, secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, secretary of the Maritime Affairs Unit of the Ministry of External Affairs, chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), assistant chief of Air Staff (Operations), engineer-in-chief of the Army, president of BGMEA, Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Tanjib-ul Alam, Managing Director of The Computers Limited Khondkar Atique-e-Rabbani and CEO & Managing Director of Biman.
