Journalist killed as truck hits auto-rickshaw in Bogura
A local journalist was killed and four other people were injured after a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Shajahanpur upazila of Bogura this afternoon (August 17, 2022).
The deceased, Nabi Rahman (55), was Dupchanchia correspondent of Dainik Kaler Khabor published from Bogura, our local correspondent reports quoting police.
Raju Kamal, sub-inspector of the Koigari Police Outpost under Shajahanpur, said the accident happened in Shakpala area while the auto-rickshaw heading towards Satmatha of Bogura town.
The truck hit the auto-rickshaw from the opposite direction, leaving its five passengers, injured.
Locals rescued the passengers and took them to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, Bogura, where Nabi died while undergoing treatment, said SI Raju Kamal.
The injured are receiving treatment at the same hospital, said the police official, adding that among the injured, Morjina's condition is critical.
