A man died after being hit by a speeding motorcycle in Dhaka's Khilkhet area this morning.

Deceased Habibur Rahman (38) was an office assistant of a private bank in Uttara.

He was hit by a motorcycle as he was walking along the road in Nikunja area to go to his office around 8:45 am, leaving him critically injured, said Rabiul Islam, a sub-inspector of Khilkhet Police Station.

He was rushed to Uttara Adhunik Medical C Hospital but later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 12:00pm, he said.

Police are trying to identify the biker, he added.

Hailing from Barishal, Habibur used to live in Kuril Bishwa Road area.
