National Award-winning actor Nipun has made her mark in the world of cinema with her elegance. She has many hit films under her belt. She enjoys working in the field of television as well. The actor will be seen in two special tele-fictions and two special television programmes on this upcoming Eid. She opens up about her newest ventures, her plans for Eid and more in a recent conversation with The Daily Star.
What can you tell us about your Eid ventures?
You can watch me in two Eid special tele-fictions soon. I have worked with director SA Haque Alik on Ektu Khaani Prem. I will also be seen in Sajjad Hossain Dudul's Mohabbat Baipaari. I will also be doing some television programmes.
Sequels to different tele-fictions are quite trendy now. What is your take on this?
Not every television project gets a sequel. When a tele-fiction is received well and becomes popular among the audience, only then do directors go for making a sequel. This is why we are coming back with the sequels of the aforementioned tele-fictions.
How are you going to spend Eid-ul-Adha this year?
I will travel to Comilla for the Qurbaani. My grandparents' home is in Comilla. I am happy that I will be spending time there. I will come back to Dhaka right after that.
What are your fond memories of Eid growing up?
I loved having new clothes to wear every Eid. I spent Eid in many different places throughout my childhood.
We rarely see you in films these days. Why is that so?
I am quite selective about scripts at the moment. Cinema is my first love, so I don't want to rush into anything. I want to play characters that I truly like.
