2 murdered in Bogra

Two men were hacked to death in separate incidents in Bogra town on Thursday and yesterday.
In Malotinagar Southpara, some youths yesterday hacked to death Raihan Ali, 24, son of Shajahan Ali of Thanthania Paschimpara of the town.
Quoting locals, police said the deceased was quarrelling with a group of people just before the incident. At one stage, they hacked him to death before locals who were too scared to help him, they added.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (A Circle) Nazir Ahmed Khan said the deceased is an accused in four cases including a murder case.
He suspects Raihan quarrelled with his accomplices and they are the ones who killed him.
The body was sent for an autopsy.
A rickshaw-puller was killed allegedly by his landlord and the landlord's son in Sultangonjpara on Thursday evening.
Locals claimed Ranju Mia, 45, of Boromahar village under Kahaloo upazila, was having an extra-marital affair with his landlord's wife.
Incensed after learning about the affair, the landlord, Sarowar Hossain, and his son Rahat killed Ranju, they added.
Police said the duo fled after the murder and the body was sent for an autopsy.
