Two Junior School Certificate-level examinations scheduled for tomorrow and Wednesday will now be held on Friday and Saturday.
The government rescheduled the exams today due to the opposition's countrywide 60-hour hartal (shutdown) which begins at 6:00am tomorrow.
The Friday's exam will begin at 2:15pm due to Juma prayer and primary teachers' recruitment test the same day, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said at a press briefing in the capital today.
The minister also urged the 18-party opposition leaders not to take any decision which may hamper the next examinations of the young students.
The current political unrest heightened anxiety among the students of class-V and -VIII and their guardians.
Around 50 lakh students of these levels will take the Primary and Ebtedai Terminal examinations and JSC and JDC examinations.
