Convention on disaster risk cut begins tomorrow

A two-day national convention on 'Disaster risk reduction through school' and a 'Disaster preparedness-related film festival' will begin in the city tomorrow.
The events will be held at the National Museum auditorium and Public Library auditorium in the city, says a press release.
The convention features public rally, discussions, drawing and photo exhibitions, earthquake drill and a drama.
ActionAid Bangladesh, Advancing Public Interest Trust, Eso Desh Gori, Other Vision Communication, Solidarity and South Asia Partnership-Bangladesh have organised the convention.
Education Minister Nurul Isalm Nahid will be present at the inaugural session of the convention as the chief guest.
A total of 16 films would be screened at the film festival.
