BSF kills 1
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a Bangladeshi at Nimtola border point in sadar upazila of Chuadanga district early yesterday.
The dead was identified as Lizen, 22, son of Mobarak Hossain of Akandbaria in the upazila.
According to BDR sources, BSF troops of Gede camp in Nadia district opened fire on Lizen while he was walking across the border near the pillar no-74 at about 5:30am, killing him on the spot.
BSF took away the dead body after intruding into Bangladesh territory.
Meanwhile, BDR of 35 Rifles Battalion sent a letter to BSF protesting the killing and asked for holding a flag meeting.
BSF killed a total of 34 Bangladeshi nationals in last seven months at different points on the southwestern border. Six of them were from Chuadanga.
