Ramshackle roads in Patuakhali nuisance for commuters

Several lakh people are suffering as half of the 150 km roads connecting six upazilas of the district are now in a dilapidated condition.
Loaded trucks, passenger buses and others vehicles often get stuck in the large potholes that are often filled with rainwater in the current rainy season.
Some 10 km out of 22 km long Kalapara-Kuakata road, 10 km out of 17 km long Galachipa-Sakharia, a section of Patuakhali-Galachipa road, 5 km out of 10 km long Galachipa-Amragachia road, 5 km out of 15 km long Patuakhali-Dumki road, 20 km out of 39 km long Patuakhali-Baufal road and 25 km out of 47 km long Patuakhali-Dashmina road are badly damaged, RHD sources said.
Passengers, especially patients, suffer a lot while travelling on the dilapidated roads.
