Rain checks U-19s charge
Bangladesh Under-19s good batting effort went in vain as their second one-day match against England Under-19s was abandoned due to rain at Grace Road on Sunday.
Bangladesh posted a challenging total of 269 for 6 in 50 overs after deciding to bat first but rain stopped the match with England Under-19s making 18 for no loss in 3.3 overs.
Anamul Haque (78), Mominul Haque (57) and Alauddin Babu (41 not out) propelled the Bangladeshis towards an impressive.
The home side lead the five-match one-day series 1-0 after winning the first game by 84 runs and the third one-day match will be played at Northampton today.
