Fake couple held with Phensidyl

A fake couple was arrested along with 60 bottles of Phensidyl at Doulatdia ferry ghat here on early Tuesday.
Police raided a Dhaka-bound bus of 'Eagle Paribahan' from Jessore and arrested Abdul Mannan Mollah, 37, and Shaheda Begum around 3:00am. Later, they seized the Phensidyl bottles from their possession.
The arrested man and woman, who hailed from Jessore, identified themselves as a married couple during the raid. But after interrogation at the police station, they admitted that they were not husband and wife.
A case was filed against them under Narcotics Control Act.
