D'Alessandro shunted to reserves
Real Zaragoza confirmed on Wednesday that their Argentine international midfielder Andres D'Alessandro will train apart from the first team squad after falling out with coach Victor Fernandez.
D'Alessandro was thrown out of training on Tuesday for complaining to Fernandez that other players were being let off lightly during the session while, by contrast, he was having to work too hard.
The 26-year-old reported for training on Wednesday morning but was told by coaching staff that he would not be allowed to train with the rest of the squad while the club decided on an appropriate sanction.
Zaragoza would not comment on when they would decide on what action to take against D'Alessandro and what form the punishment might be.
D'Alessandro returned to the club on Wednesday evening to train alone.
The incident has led to Spanish media speculation that D'Alessandro, who joined the club in the summer of 2006, would be sold during the winter transfer window after falling foul of Fernandez.
The player also had a highly publicised clash in training last week with his compatriot and fellow Argentine international, Pablo Aimar.
