The supporters of BNP leader Sarker Badal and Shahjahanpur BNP President Fazlul Haque Ratan yesterday clashed over nomination in the upazila election.
After the clash, activists loyal to Badal, who was deprived of nomination, ransacked the thana BNP office.
Following the incident, vehicular movement on Bogra-Dhaka highway in Shahjahanpur area remained suspended for about 45 minutes.
