Prof Salam acting dean of DU social science

Prof Sheikh Abdus Salam, chairman of Mass Communication and Journalism department, has been appointed acting dean of Social Science faculty at Dhaka University yesterday.
Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Siddique appointed him to the post after the elected faculty dean Prof Harun-or-Rashid got his appointment as the pro-vice chancellor last week.
Prof Salam took the charge of dean office from the outgoing dean at a simple ceremony at the dean office on the same day.
Teachers of different departments under the faculty, including Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed, Prof Md Wadud Bhuiyan, Prof Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, Tahmina Gafur and Dr Md Rafiqul Islam were present at the fucntion.
